AQUATIC INSTRUCTOR II
Up to 30 Casual Positions
Saanich Commonwealth Place is seeking multiple certified Aquatic Instructors who will be responsible for lesson management of our Life Saving entry level programs. This includes planning and preparing assigned programs; instructing assigned classes; evaluating participants; record keeping and public relations. The successful candidates will also ensure participants are taught according to safety and skill standards outlined by Saanich and Aquatic agencies.
Requirements include completion of Grade 10; current Life Saving Society Canada Instructor Award, or equivalent; over three months, up to and including six months experience and a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector check (PIC-VS).
Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $25.65 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits. Job description and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
