Civil Design Technologist (2)
Position Overview
The City of Nanaimo is seeking two permanent full-time Civil Design Technologists. Under the general direction of the Project Engineer, the incumbent is responsible for computer drafting work required in the preparation of engineering design drawings for capital projects, and assists the Project Engineer and Engineering Project Technologists in design work and engineering calculations.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or Civil Design Technology from a recognized technical institute and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in municipal engineering using Civil 3D. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is required.
Additional Information
This is a unionized position. $37.01 per hour – after Probation (Jan 2022 Rate), based on a 35 hour work week.
