Manager, Capital Projects Delivery
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking a Manager, Capital Projects Delivery in the Regional and Community Utilities Department.
Reporting to the General Manager, Regional and Community Utilities, the Manager, Capital Projects Delivery is responsible for the delivery of large capital projects, primarily within Wastewater Services, and for the development, implementation, management and coordination of capital plans, policies and programs associated with the Department as well as Fire Services. This position also provides technical oversight and coordinates engineering services to other functions within the Regional District of Nanaimo and is responsible for the development and maintenance of project management best practices and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in engineering or geoscience, eight (8) years of related experience in the management and delivery of capital projects in the private sector or local or regional government setting, and two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
POSITION DETAILS
This is a permanent full-time Exempt position offering 35 hours of work per week and a desirable compensation and benefits package.
