Manager, Wastewater Services
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking a Manager, Wastewater Services in the Regional and Community Utilities Department.
Reporting to the General Manager, Regional and Community Utilities, the Manager, Wastewater Services leads staff to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the RDN Board by managing the Wastewater Services program, facilities, and personnel. This includes the operation, maintenance, and asset management of the department’s facilities as well as the various operational permits required for those facilities. This position oversees the Regional District’s Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP) and the Regional Liquid Waste Advisory Committee, established to monitor the LWMP, Wastewater Services department’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and Biosolids Management.
Undergraduate degree in science, engineering or related field, eight (8) years of related experience at a senior level in a local or regional government setting, and five (5) years supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
This is a permanent full-time Exempt position offering 35 hours of work per week and a desirable compensation and benefits package.
