Public Works Outside Worker

The Township of Spallumcheen is inviting applications for the Township’s Public Works Department for the role of Operator I. The applicant will be required to perform the duties listed on the Operator 1 Job Description, for more information please see the full job description. The hours of work will be during the regular hours of work as outlined in the CUPE agreement and relevant LOU’s. This work is suitable for an applicant seeking full-time work.
 
Reporting to the Township’s Foreman, applicants are required to have a Class 3 BC Driver’s Licence with air-brake endorsement, and a minimum of one year experience in a public or private sector construction environment. The nature of the position requires that the successful candidate work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and can complete duties requiring physical effort.

This is a CUPE Local 2709 position with a salary of $33.25 per hour and comprehensive benefits package.
