TRANSIT SERVICE COORDINATOR II
(3 Permanent, Full-Time Positions – Internal Posting)

The West Vancouver Transit Department is currently seeking three permanent full-time Transit Service Coordinator II. This position is responsible for:
· Providing direction and functional support to Transit Service Coordinator I;
· Investigating and resolving referred problems regarding spare board assignments and other schedule-related concerns
· Checking payroll source documents and correcting discrepancies in coordination with Human Resources and Payroll;
· Coordinating data collection, and recommending and evaluating additional service requirements as required;
· Ensuring adherence to Union Collective Agreements and National Safety Code regulations;
· Supporting the route scheduling activity; and
· Performing other related work as required.
The preferred candidate will possess: Grade 12 education supplemented by courses in relevant courses; considerable related Transit operations experience and previous work experience as a Transit Service Coordinator I and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience; and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License for the Province of BC.
The successful candidate is familiar with the North Shore and surrounding area, and possesses thorough knowledge of West Vancouver Transit scheduling, routines, and operations; thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures, rules and regulations and agreements covering the operations of the Transit Department; and ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external contacts; leadership and team building skills; and ability to solve complex logistical problems.
The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check and a copy of their credentials.

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary)
Starting Rate of Pay:
$37.15 per hour (2022 Rates)
This position has a pay structure with five steps which increase annually.
